WHAT WE DO
At ISLAND SENSORS we design and build unique devices to detect, display, transmit and record any physical variable or manipulate/inspect remote or inaccessible hardware. Our systems augment or replace human senses, or manage limitations imposed by distance, accessability or environment. We can improve existing instruments and end effectors to achieve improved safety and productivity in all environments.
We utilize innovative sensor placement and configuration, mobile robotics/manipulators, and the latest electronic components, to extend your sensory/data acquisition reach or control capabilities. Our hardware may retrieve precise data or sound an alarm in places too dangerous, uncomfortable or remote for personnel, or when high speed, precision, repetition, infrequent monitoring or links with associated events or hardware are required.
Warnings or information may be displayed at the sensor site or transmitted almost anywhere on the planet.
Our approach to creating new applications is aided when our clients think in an open and "non-linear" manner. We gain much of our expertise from working with clients who define a measurement difficulty, safety concern or productivity problem, but have never considered sensors to remove the human from the control or evaluation loop.
